Delhi, August 8: President of India Droupadi Murmu on Saturday appointed 7 senior Advocates as Madras High Court Judges.

The President of India’s Secretariat has issued a press communiqué in this connection.

The communiqué read, “In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, in consultation with Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint the Advocates/ Judicial Officers cited herewith as Judges / Additional Judges in the High Courts.”

With the President’s approval, 7 Judges and 8 Additional Judges have been appointed in the Madras High Court.Advocates Govindarajan Krishnaswamy, Rajnish Pathiyil, Ramesh Natarajan, G.K. Muthukumaar, Advocate, Ramakrishnan Rajesh Vivekananthan, Raveekumar Sankaranarayanan, and Dilip Kumar Nagarajan have been appointed as Judges of Madras High Court.

Apart from it, Advocates Ellappan Manoharan and Aryak Dutt & Judicial Officers Dr. P. Murugan, M. D. Sumathi, S. Alli, C. Thirumagal, Shanmugam Karthikeyan, Murugesan Baluchamy and N. Gunasekaran have been recommended as Additional Judges of the Madras High Court.

Similarly, the President has appointed 8 Senior Advocates as Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court. They are,Atarup Banerjee, Sandip Kumar De, Partha Pratim Roy, Sudip Deb, Anuj Singh, Arjun Ray Mukherjee and Rishad Medora.

Advocates Raghavendra Seetharam Srivatsa, Hema Kulkarni, Subramanya Rangarao, Vivekananda Thadagavadi Prakash, Pramod Bakkeswara & Shanthi Bhushan Hombe Gowda have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Karnataka High Court.

Similarly, Advocate Amit Lahoti, has been ppointed as an Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
