Bhubaneswar, June 11: At a time when the first BJP Chief Minister in Odisha is going to take oath tomorrow, the state will have the first woman deputy chief minister.
Pravati Parida will be a Deputy Chief Ministers this time.
BJP central leaderships today declared Mohan Charan Majhi as new Odisha Chief Minister whereas Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida were declared as Deputy Chief Ministers.
Odisha had witnessed as many as three Deputy Chief Ministers. Routray was the first Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha as he joined the Cabinet of Nandini Satapathy government in 1972, with tenure of 260 days.
Basant Biswal and Hemananda Biswal had served deputy chief ministers in the cabinet of Chief Minister Janaki Ballabh Patnaik in 1990’s.
