PM Modi extends heartfelt greetings on fifth day of Shardiya Navratri dedicated to Devi Skandamata

New Delhi, Sep 26: On the fifth day of Shardiya Navratri dedicated to Devi Skandamata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, praying that the goddess blesses all her devotees with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune.

Taking to his official ‘X’ handle, PM Modi expressed hope that her motherly affection would infuse new energy and enthusiasm into everyone’s life.

“During Navratri, today there is a special worship of the fifth form of the Mother, Devi Skandamata. With folded hands, we pray to her that she blesses all her devotees with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune. May her motherly affection infuse new energy and enthusiasm into everyone's life,” wrote PM Modi.

It is worth noting that the fifth day of Shardiya Navratri 2025 is dedicated to Maa Skandamata, the fifth form of Goddess Durga. Associated with the Vishuddha Chakra, which symbolizes purity and clarity, Skandamata is believed by her devotees to relieve stress and suffering. She is regarded as the embodiment of motherhood, love, and empathy.

According to the Panchang (Hindu calendar), the Panchami Tithi begins after 9:34 a.m. on September 26 and lasts until 12:05 p.m. on September 27.

Therefore, the main worship of Maa Skandamata will take place on September 27. The Chaturthi Tithi, linked to Maa Kushmanda, continues until the morning of September 26.
