Kashmir, May 2: When the violent bloodshet at Pahalgam in India’s Jammu & Kashmir valley on April 22 yet wreaks terror among tourists, recurrent signature of terrorists in as many as 10 scenic places around the Pahalgam town, have put the vicinity in a panic.
The NIA and J&K Police’s investigation reveal that the contingent of terrorists had recced in the entire Pahalgam valley to chalk out their bid successfully, reportedly hatched somewhere in Pakistan.
Based on the survivers’ statements and the revelations of some unlookers those who were fortunate enough to narrowly escape with lives on their own ways, the NIA investigation said that, the terrorists had recced in various scenic spots apart from the Baisaran Valley where they finally shaped up their violence bid killing as many as 28 visitors brutally.
According to sources, the terrorists had assessed the feasibility for the pre-planned violence at the Betab Valley, Gulmarg and even at a few places near the Pahalgam Town that generally witness more tourists this season.
The terrorists assigned for the massacre had finally conducted reconnaissance of three locations in the area on April 15, sources said. One of the terrorists surveyed the amusement park in Pahalgam, but the plan to attack the site was dropped due to heightened security here.
Following this, they reportedly visited the Betab Valley to check whether it attracted gathering in hundres. However, some unseasonal showers here, made them to swich elsewhere.
According to a couple who luckily survived the attack with their small kid, had an input that miscreants suspectedly terrorists had interacted with them, enquring their names, the volume of their groups and religion while they were enjoying the trip near the Pahalgam base.
Similarly, another couple also revealed it with substantial video records that, they saw two terrorists at the Betab Valley while they were capturing a reel involving their daughter. Sending their testimonies to the sleuths, the couple dispatched the video to the investigating agencies, to tally with the suspects’ sketches, officially traced out by the sleuths.
Apart from it, the Ultra-state communication system that the terrorists were using in the Pahalgam area also indicated that, viable signals were traced in several areas across the valley much before the Pahalgam attack.
One Ekta Tiwari, a tourist from Rajstan also brought forward some video features showing the frequent access of suspected miscreants in the Betab Valley and at the base of Pahalgam meadows, from which point, the horse and the mule route begin for the Baisaran scene.
According to Ekta & her younger brother, two strangers who were managing the donkey rides to the Baisaran valley, bothered them frequently asking of their religion.
A person among at least 8 mule- drivers was found manning as many as four mules with riders. Meanwhile, he talked over some unusual devices with his counterparts, discussing something serious, about guns in his code words.
Apart from it, the same suspect who was under the guise of a mule-man, insisted Ekta’s group comprising 20 relatives again and agian, to take rides to the Baisaran valley luring its scenic beauty.
