Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) has released the date of examination of the Odisha Senior Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 on January 19, 2024.
The application period for interested candidates was from December 11 to December 22, 2023.
The Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 admit card has been released on the board’s official website.
Candidates are advised to download and print the admit card.
The exam qualifies successful candidates for possible teaching roles in government, private aided, and private unaided schools across the state, with actual vacancies being filled based on individual school requirements and recruitment processes.
Examination Schedule and Paper Pattern
The exam will be conducted in two shifts: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be held from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and Paper II will be held from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Paper I is for primary teachers (Class I to V), while Paper II is for secondary teachers (Class VI to VIII).
Each paper is of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
There will be 150 questions on each paper with 1 mark for each correct answer.
There shall be no negative marking for incorrect answers in the OSSTET Exam.
The questions in the exam will be MCQ-based.
