Bhubaneswar, June 12: Marking the completion of one year in office, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday inaugurated the ‘Vikas Vahan’ campaign by flagging off specially branded vehicles aimed at spreading awareness about the welfare schemes introduced by the BJP government both at the Centre and in the state.

Speaking at the event held on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja detailed that the ‘Vikas Vahan Yatra’ will run for 10 days, from June 12 to June 21. The campaign is set to cover all 6,794 Gram Panchayat headquarters, five municipal corporations, and 115 urban local bodies across the state’s 314 blocks.
Organized by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department, this initiative seeks to share the success stories of various government development schemes. The specially branded vans will traverse the entire state to ensure wider reach and engagement with the public.
