Hitmen targeting Tiger Shroff scouted other prominent celebrity residences
Detectives investigating the recent firing outside Tiger Shroff's residence uncovered an unsettling detail about the suspected hitmen. Three arrested shooters spent a month in Mumbai and conducted reconnaissance at buildings housing prominent stars, including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Aamir Khan. Law enforcement officials are now trying to determine whether these high-profile figures were the primary targets or if the suspects visited their neighborhoods out of sheer curiosity. Organized crime groups, particularly the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, frequently target high-net-worth individuals for extortion, keeping security forces on high alert across the city.
Probing celebrity visits
"We have found they had visited the buildings where several celebrities resided," a police source confirmed. "Actor Aamir Khan resides some distance from Tiger’s residence. So, at this point, we are not sure if they were given specific targets or if they visited these places out of curiosity. Details will emerge during their questioning. As of now, we have heightened security outside the residences of some of these actors." Security remains exceptionally tight since all three actors have faced direct threats in the past.
Tracking illegal weapon drops
Mumbai Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Raj Tilak Roushan confirmed eight formal arrests, with two additional suspects, Jatin and Sameer, detained in Haryana awaiting transit remand. Three key suspects, including shooters Rehan alias Sukka, Ritik Kurmi alias Roshan, and Phool Singh, were apprehended in Kota and remanded in police custody until October 31. Delhi Police arrested four individuals identified as Kunal Sanjay, Sumit Suraha, Radha Verma, and Babita Rao. Operatives used a dead drop method in Amritsar to collect the firearm safely. Kunal, Sumit, and Jatin secured the weapon and brought it to Delhi. Radha and Babita then carried the firearm to Mumbai last week, handing it directly to the shooters while keeping their identities hidden.

Suspect Ankit alias Rajesh Khatak guided the shooters in Mumbai for location scouting. Investigators discovered he facilitated a transfer of nearly Rs 2 lakh from operative Anil Pandit to the hitmen before returning to Haryana. Meanwhile, Sameer reportedly acted as the crucial link connecting shooter Rehan Ansari directly to the wider criminal plot.
