Bhubaneswar, June 13: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has announced the conduct of the 2nd/Special OJEE 2026, providing aspirants with another opportunity to secure admission to various professional courses in the state.
According to an official notification issued on Friday, the Special OJEE 2026 will be conducted tentatively from July 13 to July 15, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination has been introduced to fill vacant seats that may remain after the first round of counselling.
The entrance test will facilitate admissions to programmes including B.Tech, Lateral Entry to Engineering (for Diploma and B.Sc. holders), B.Pharm, Basic B.Sc. Nursing, MBA, and MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science.
The online application process will commence on June 16, 2026, and remain open until June 28, 2026, at 11:00 PM. Candidates can submit their applications through the official OJEE websites.
The committee has advised applicants to thoroughly read the Information Brochure and instructions available on the official portal before filling out the application form. The brochure contains details regarding eligibility criteria, examination pattern, syllabus, and other important guidelines.
As per the notification, the syllabus for B.Tech aspirants will be identical to that of JEE Main 2026, while candidates applying for other courses will follow the standard OJEE 2026 syllabus.
The OJEE Committee clarified that candidates who have already qualified in JEE Main 2026 for B.Tech admissions or secured a rank in the main OJEE 2026 examination for other courses need not appear for the Special OJEE.
Candidates from outside Odisha are also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be limited to private institutions, as seats in government colleges are reserved for Odisha domiciled candidates.
The results of the Special OJEE 2026 will be used exclusively for filling vacant seats after the completion of the first round of counselling.
The committee has urged eligible candidates to complete the application process within the stipulated deadline and avoid last-minute inconvenience.
