Rayagada, Sept 6: In a tragic incident, a youth reportedly died due to high volume DJ music during the Ganesh Puja immersion at Rayat Colony area under Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district.

The deceased has been identified as Saroj Kumar Khara (30), a resident of Rayat Colony.

As per reports, Saroj reportedly collapsed as a result of the high-intensity sound. His family members immediately rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

Further investigation into the matter is underway to determine the exact cause of death, said the police.

A pal of gloom descended over the village following the tragic incident.
