Sundargarh, July 27: In a gruesome incident, a woman allegedly killed her husband with a crowbar following a heated argument over family dispute in Rajgangpur area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Sudip Bara (32) and the incident has been reported from Kadalidhipa village in Sagjore panchayat under the Kansbahal outpost in Rajgangpur.
As per reports, a quarrel broke out between Sudip and his wife Sangita Bara (24) last night over some family dispute. It later took a violent turn when Sangita, in a fit of rage, allegedly attacked her husband with a crowbar, hitting him on the head.
The blow rendered him unconscious, and he later died from his injuries.
After realizing her husband had died, Sangita took their two young sons and went to the Kansbahal Police Outpost, where she surrendered.
Early this morning, Rajgangpur SDPO, local police officers, and a scientific team reached the spot and began an investigation. Police have arrested Sangita and investigating the matter.
