Odisha: Seven held with brown sugar worth over Rs 3.5 lakh in Sundargarh

Sundargarh, Sept 1: Rajgangpur police in Odisha’s Sundargarh district seized brown sugar worth over Rs 3.5 lakh and arrested seven people in this connection.
The arrested suspects have been identified as MD Samsad, MD Nausad alias Tempe, Mustak Ansari, Gajani alias MD Sahid Khan, MD Salim, MD Mujahid alias Chotu, and Rohit Sa, all residents of Rajgangpur area.
The cops have also recovered two bikes, one scooty and Rs 2900 cash from their possession and seized them.
According to Rajgangpur SDPO Bibhuti Bhushan Bhoi, Rajgangpur police launched ‘Operation Gajraj’ under the direction of the district SP last night and successfully nabbed the drug dealers.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
