Berhampur, June 13: Odisha government on Friday appointed Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke as the new Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC).
A notification in this regard was issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
Rajeshirke, a 2021-batch IAS officer, was earlier serving as the Sub-Collector of Balasore and also holding the additional responsibility of Executive Officer of Balasore Municipality.
The state government has now asked him to immediately leave his current duties and take charge of his new posting.
According to the official notification, the post of Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) is now considered equal in rank to a Deputy Secretary in the Odisha government.
