Bhubaneswar, April 22: The Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC) celebrated its 31st Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the IMMT Auditorium here on Tuesday.
On this occasion, several key initiatives were unveiled, including the launch of the OHPC Theme Song, the revamped OHPC website, Online E-Varun and Integration of OSWAS 2.0, signifying a major step towards digital governance and improved administrative efficiency. Recognizing excellence and performance, OHPC honoured its units for outstanding achievements during the year 2025–26.
The Best Performing Unit award was conferred on Rengali Hydro Electric Project, Rengali. The 2nd Best Performing Unit award was presented to Upper Indravati Hydro Electric Project, Mukhiguda, while the Best Housekeeping Unit award was awarded to Hirakud Hydro Electric Project, Burla.
Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, ACS (Energy) and OHPC CMD, Vishal Kumar Dev CMD graced the event.
The Deputy Chief Minister appreciated OHPC’s contributions to the power sector and the State’s development.
As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, a blood donation camp was also organised in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees and volunteers, resulting in the collection of around 40 litres of blood, reflecting OHPC’s commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare.
