Cuttack Boy Achieves Medical Milestone
Medical history has been rewritten by an undergraduate student who performed a record-breaking number of dental procedures. Chandan Panigrahi, a young talent from Saveetha Dental College in Chennai, has earned global recognition for his clinical endurance and skill. He stands alone as the first Indian undergraduate to complete such a high volume of complex treatments personally.
Breaking Records in Dentistry
Raaba Book of World Records has officially validated this immense effort. They confirmed that Chandan successfully completed over 1,000 tooth extractions and more than 100 alveoloplasty surgeries. Most dental students never see these numbers until well into their professional careers. This feat highlights the intense practical training provided at the institution.
Ceremony and Recognition
Celebrations took place at the college's Decennial Hall on November 17, 2025. Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan, the Founder Chancellor of SIMATS, led the event.
