Bhubaneswar, Sept 14: The Mo School Abhiyan, initiated by the former BJD government to garner funds and social responsibilities of benevolent donors and alumni for the school, is now Panchasakha Sikhya Setu.
The Odisha government on Saturday officially renamed the ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ as ‘Panchasakha Sikhya Setu’.
The School and Mass Education Department of Odisha formally notified the renaming of the programme.
An outlay of Rs 332 crore was also provisioned on Saturday to undertake the development of schools.
According to the resolution taken in the recently concluded budget session, the revamped scheme aims to transform the education sector across the state to expedite the active participation of alumni and stakeholders.
To implement the Panchasakha Sikhya Setu initiative with heart & soul, the Education Department has instructed the State Project Director, OSEPA-cum-Member Secretary of the scheme to restructure the essential functionalities.
