Balangir, June 15: The body of a minor girl was found hanging from the ceiling of her house in Bhainsa village under Patnagarh police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district.
The deceased has been identified as Bhumisuta Barge (11).
According to the family members of the victim, the incident occurred last evening around 7 PM when the girl was at home alone while the rest of the family had gone out for work. She had been playing with her friends, and later had an argument with a neighboring family.
After the argument, the neighboring family reportedly said harsh words to the girl, which could have led her to either commit suicide or have been murdered, alleged the family.
Upon getting the information, police and scientific team arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter. The cops also seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
