Bhubaneswar, October 6:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, due to the likelihood of rain, thunderstorms, and lightning this afternoon.

 The warning, issued at 1:45 pm today, indicates that parts of Puri, Balasore, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Khurda, and Koraput may experience weather disturbances within the next three hours.

Residents of these areas are urged to stay alert and move to safer locations to avoid any potential harm from lightning strikes.
