Bhubaneswar, August 21: The Odisha Government on Friday carried out a minor reshuffle in the State police, transferring six IPS officers across various district and headquarters postings.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, 2003-batch IPS and IG (Northern Range) Sambalpur, Himansu Kumar Lal, has been appointed as IG, Economic Offences EOW & Special Taskforce (STF).

Similarly, 2004-batch IPS and IG (North central Range) Satyabrat Bhoi, who also holds the additional charge of Anugola Police Training College (PTC) Principal has been posted as the IG of Police, Intelligence.

Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) Jai Narayan Pankaj of 2005-batch has been transferred as the IG of Police, SR, Brahmapur.

Niti Shekhar of 2007 batch who is currently serving as IG of Police, SR, Brahmapur, has been transferred as the I.G of Police (Provisioning), State Police Headquarters.

Besides, Charan Singh Meena, the DIG of Police (Provisioning), has been appointed as DIG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur while Ashish Kumar Singh, who has joined in Home Department after repatriation from Central Deputation, has been posted as DIG of Police, NCR, Talacher and given the Additional charge of Principal, PTC, Anugola.
