Bhubaneswar, April 29: The Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department has announced a revision in the salaries of contractual teaching staff working in government Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medical colleges across the state.
As per the decision, contractual lecturers will now receive a monthly salary of ₹70,000. The salaries of readers and professors have also been significantly increased. Readers’ pay has been doubled from ₹40,000 to ₹80,000 per month, while professors will now earn ₹1,00,000, up from ₹50,000.
The proposal has received approval from the Finance Department. Thanking Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said the move is expected to strengthen AYUSH education in the state and boost the morale of teaching professionals.
