Bhubaneswar, August 10: The Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway-316 and Barbil-Chandikhol road will be developed into six-lane roads with two-lane service road on both sides, informed a senior official of works department.
The Odisha government has given its nod to the regional office of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to prepare DPR for the expansion of the NH-316.
The further work in this regard will begin after approval from NHAI headquarters in New Delhi, probably the next week.
Similarly, the Barbil-Chandikhol Road will be developed into six-lane roads with two-lane service road on both sides The Works department has written to the regional office of NHIA to prepare a DPR for the project.
A meeting will be convened at the Chief Secretary level soon for the two projects. The NHAI has been asked to prepare detailed presentation before the Chief Secretary for finalisation of the alignment and controlled access locations.
