
Khordha, Sept 17: In a heartbreaking incident, a four-year-old child lost his life after being bitten by a venomous snake in Banapur area of Odisha’s Khordha district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Prasad Raul, four-year-old son of Pavitra Raul and the incident has been reported from Sanahantuada village in Banapur.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the child was sleeping next to his mother. The mother and son discovered a venomous snake coiled around their necks. Upon realizing the danger, Ram's mother quickly threw the snake away. While she managed to escape unharmed, it was later revealed that the venomous snake had bitten her four-year-old son.
Without wasting any time, the kid was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the young boy was declared dead due to the severity of the venom and the delayed medical treatment.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the hospital and seized the body for post-mortem.
