Bhubaneswar, May 21: In a major push towards digitizing law enforcement practices, 720 Investigating Officers (IOs) from Odisha’s Eastern Range—covering Balasore, Bhadrak, and Mayurbhanj—underwent specialized training in cutting-edge tools for smarter policing.
Organized by the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), the workshop spanned two phases: an offline session on May 14–15 and an online session on May 21. Held in Balasore, the event was graced by Dr. Satyajit Naik, DIG of Eastern Range, as the guest of honor.
The workshop focused on key digital platforms such as e-Investigation, e-Sakshya, e-Sign, Cri-MAC, and MedLeAPR, aiming to sharpen the IOs’ abilities in managing digital evidence, streamlining case documentation, and enhancing crime data analysis.
With this initiative, Odisha Police reaffirms its commitment to innovation and modernization in crime investigation. The SCRB team’s efforts in conducting the workshop were widely appreciated, marking a vital step toward strengthening the overall justice delivery system.
This tech-forward training is expected to significantly boost the efficiency of crime investigations and improve public service delivery across the Eastern Range.
