Bhubaneswar, June 6: In view of the ongoing wave of COVID-19, the Odisha Health & Family Welfare Department has taken proactive steps to monitor and contain the spread of infection.
As of June 6, a total of 755 numbers of samples were tested, out of which 38 samples tested positive. Among these, 9 individuals recovered completely, and the remaining 29 are under home isolation. However, their health conditions are stable, said a press release issued by the state’s health department on Friday.
To review the current national COVID-19 scenario and preparedness measures, a virtual meeting was held on 3rd June 2025 under the Chairmanship of Director General of Health
Services(DGHS), MoH&FW, with participation from State Health Authorities, ICMR Institutions, State Surveillance Unit of different States, and NCDC officials. The State Government remains committed to implementing these measures to safeguard public health, the release read.
