Bhubaneswar, Apr 23: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Wednesday launched the ‘Project Monitoring Dashboard’ of the Works Department at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Majhi said that the dashboard will help in real-time monitoring of various infrastructure projects, making them more efficient and accurate.
CM Majhi mentioned that the earlier systems were not bringing in proper data, which caused delays in project progress and decision-making.
This advanced GIS-based dashboard will provide an up-to-date picture of public assets and ongoing projects, including all major projects. It will also offer detailed data on projects at the district and block levels. The use of road and satellite maps will help in accurately locating each project, ensuring better planning and transparency, said CM Majhi.
He further added that this system would bring greater financial transparency.
The dashboard also includes an ‘Issue Tracker’, which will help monitor problems related to land acquisition, forest land issues, and encroachments. With features like live project tracking, financial monitoring, active alerts, and performance checks, the system will make decision-making easier and faster, he added.
CM Majhi said that the dashboard will soon be expanded and used by other departments too. It will further strengthen the infrastructure development system in Odisha and help speed up the goal of building a prosperous state.
Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and other cabinet members along with senior officials from various departments were present at the event.
