Bhubaneswar, Sept 24: As an impetus towards a robust cultural heritage, the Odisha government in a first has extended financial assistance for the famous Gajalaxmi Puja in Dhenkanal.

The initiative filled joy among the enthusiast Puja Committees as the Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced Rs 50 each to as many as 28 Gajalaxmi Puja Committees across the district for conducting Maa Laxmi Puja more efficiently.

Worth mentioning, Majhi had also extended a sizeable financial aid for the world famous Dhanu Yatra, celebrated in Western Odisha, for the first time. Apart from it, the CM had allocated essential funds to build up a permanent amphitheatre for the Dhanu Yatra in Bargarh.
