Bhubaneswar, June 2: The Government of India has appointed IAS officer Nikhil Pavan Kalyan as the new Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Odisha.
Kalyan, a 2012-batch officer of the Odisha cadre, will hold the post until December 31, 2025, or until further notice—whichever is earlier.
The appointment was confirmed through an official communication issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to the Chief Secretary of Odisha on Monday, June 2. The letter mentioned that the Competent Authority has approved Kalyan’s assignment at the Director level and instructed the state government to relieve him immediately to ensure he takes charge without delay.
