Kolkata, Oct 16: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's niece Roma Day passed away at her south Kolkata residence due to old age ailments, her family said on Wednesday.

She was 95.

Roma is survived by her son, two daughters and five grandchildren, informed her son Ashis Ray said in a statement.

Roma was the daughter of Sarat Chandra Bose, a notable barrister and freedom fighter. She had witnessed her uncle's rise in the political arena when Bose became the president of the Indian National Congress in 1938.
