Bhubaneswar, November 11 : A unique celebration of art and culture marked the opening of the "Modi@20 International Exhibition of Painting & Sculptures" at the Dubai International Art Center. Organized by Bhubaneswar's Subhadra Art Gallery in collaboration with the Dubai Odia Society and the Suryakshetra Foundation, the event highlights Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare initiatives through paintings and sculptures created by 60 artists from India and Dubai.
Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary of Odisha's Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture, inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he lauded the event as a vital forum for cross-cultural learning, highlighting the importance of showcasing Indian and Emirati artistic expression and promoting cultural heritage.
The exhibition features diverse works, including "The Modi and Crown Prince" by Rajamata Deepti Yadav and "Modi and the Tea Kettle" by Anup Chand, which captivated audiences on opening day. With contributions from artists across India and Dubai, the show emphasizes themes of unity and creativity. Shri Sethi also underscored the legacy of Odisha’s traditional art forms like Pattachitra and palm leaf etching, emphasizing the need to preserve this heritage.
The exhibition, open to visitors until November 11, was attended by notable dignitaries including Surya Rath, Chairman of Subhadra Art Gallery; Ashok Nayak, Gallery Director; Dr. Bipin Mishra, Suryakshetra Foundation Chairman; and representatives from the Dubai International Art Center and Dubai Odia Samaj.
