Berhampur, Jul 25: A group of second-year postgraduate students from the Paediatrics Department at Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur have filed a formal complaint against an associate professor, accusing him of harassment and mental torture.

In their written complaint submitted to the Dean and Superintendent, the students have requested immediate action and urged the administration to relieve the professor of his teaching duties.

They alleged that the faculty member frequently used abusive language and fostered a hostile working environment, leading to significant mental distress.

Responding to the allegations, Superintendent Dr. Durga Madhab Satapathy said that the administration is treating the matter with seriousness. “A meeting will be held soon to review the complaint and take appropriate action based on its findings,” he stated.
