Odisha pledges digital literacy for every home by 2030

Odisha is taking massive steps toward creating a completely digitally empowered society. During a major gathering on Saturday, officials revealed a bold roadmap to bring essential computer skills and artificial intelligence into every single household.

Expanding Reach across Villages

Officials from Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited shared incredibly ambitious expansion targets during their recent convention. Managing Director Dr. Manoranjan Puthal announced plans to establish over 2,500 learning centres right at the grassroots panchayat level by 2030. This extensive network aims to educate more than half a million learners every single year. Inspired by the national call for utilizing technology for universal good, leaders introduced a powerful new pledge for the current year. They want to ensure practical Artificial Intelligence for youth and basic computing skills become everyday tools for regular citizens.

Key Launches Drive Youth Empowerment

State IT Minister Mukesh Mahaling formally opened two major initiatives specifically designed to boost student career growth. He officially introduced an advanced technology certification, known as the OS-ACIT program, alongside a highly anticipated internship portal. These platforms are expected to unlock fresh, exciting opportunities for young professionals seeking roles in the modern tech sector.

Gathering Technical Experts and Trainers

Over a thousand dedicated trainers and learning centre heads converged at Railway Auditorium Bhubaneswar for the OKCL Network Meet 2026. Special Guest Dr. Pradeep Kumar Raut, Chief Executive Officer of OCAC Bhubaneswar, praised the impressive collective hard work that drove excellent results throughout 2025. He took the opportunity to honor top-performing districts and authorized learning centers.
