Draped in traditional Punjabi attire, Diljit embodied the essence of a modern-day Maharaja. He proudly wore a turban—a symbol of Sikh identity—paired with a kurta and tehmat, and elevated the look with a dramatic cape inscribed with the Punjabi alphabet. Adding to the grandeur, he carried a ceremonial sword and adorned himself with exquisite jewellery believed to be from the legendary Cartier collection of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala.

Making history as the first turbaned actor-singer to walk the Met Gala red carpet, Diljit’s thoughtful tribute to his Punjabi roots resonated deeply with fans worldwide. Many praised him not only for his style but also for representing his culture on one of fashion’s biggest global stages.
