Bhubaneswar, Sep 9: Deputy Chief Minister and Women & Child Development Minister Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday that a review meeting will be held on Wednesday to examine the list of beneficiaries excluded from the Subhadra Yojana.
The government’s objective is to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the welfare scheme.
"From the beginning, we’ve made it clear that original beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will not be excluded," Parida told reporters.
"Once verified reports are received, any exclusions will be addressed through a revised process. We’ve sought clarifications from three departments, and based on their inputs, a final decision will be taken during tomorrow’s review meeting. The outcome will be communicated to the media afterward," Parida said.
As part of the review process, the Women & Child Development Department has requested data from:
Commerce and Transport Department – for details on women owning four-wheelers
Health Department – for information on deceased beneficiaries
Food Supplies Department – regarding landholdings of women who have sold rice
