Jajpur, May 16: Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended an ABDO for possession of disproportionate assets. The accused has been identified as Asit Kumar Patra, Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) of Dharmasala Block in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

Based on searches conducted on properties of Asit Kumar Patra, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 3 multi storeyed buildings, 1 flat at Cuttack, 1 shopping complex, 5 high value plots, gold ornaments approx 700 grams, deposits Rs.65 lakhs, cash Rs.1.85 lakhs etc, which he could not account for satisfactorily.

Following this, he has been placed under arrest and will be forwarded today to Court.

In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case No.11 /2025 has been registered.
