Puri, Jul 14: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will carry out a one-day inventory of the ornaments used to adorn the deities during the Snana Purnima rituals on June 19, Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee announced.

The inventory will cover the ornaments and valuables that were used on the sacred bodies of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra during the Snana Purnima festivities. The exercise will be conducted in accordance with the procedures approved by the Odisha Government.

Dr. Padhee said that the schedule for counting the remaining ornaments and other valuable articles stored inside the inner Ratna Bhandar (treasure chamber) will be announced at a later date.

He also appealed to all servitors and members associated with the temple administration to extend their full cooperation to ensure the smooth and successful completion of the important exercise.

Notably, the inventory of ornaments and other valuables kept inside the Ratna Bhandar has remained suspended since May 23. The upcoming exercise marks the resumption of the process, beginning with the ornaments used for the deities during the Snana Purnima rituals.
