Bhubaneswar, October 13: The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a PSU with corporate headquarters in Kolkata, has invited applications for recruitment of as many as 321 Administrative Officer (AO) posts (Generalist as well as Specialist), in Scale-1 cadre.

Eligible candidates can complete their online registration by October 28.

According to the official schedule, the Preliminary Examination will be conducted on November 17, 2026, while the Mains Examination is scheduled for December 22, 2026.

Who can apply?

Applicants with a degree in any stream are eligible to apply for Generalist positions, whereas Specialist posts require specific educational qualifications relevant to the respective discipline.

Age Limit (1/10/2026)

The minimum age limit required for the NICL AO post is 21 to 30 years. This is the minimum age limit for the General category, whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category have been provided some age relaxation.

Minimum Age: 21 years; Maximum Age: 30 years, as on 01.10.2026 i.e., a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.10.1996 and not later than 01.10.2005 (both dates inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

Emoluments & Benefits

The starting Basic pay would be Rs. 82,485/- in the scale of 82485-4050(14)-139185-4390(4)-156745 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company.

Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 1,14,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s/leased accommodation as per norms.
