Tel Aviv [Israel], Oct 25: The Israeli military launched three airstrikes on different areas in Dahieh, located in southern Beirut. According to reports by Xinhua news agency, the first two airstrikes targeted the Chouaifet El Aamroussieh area, while the final and most powerful strike hit Haret Hreik. TV footage captured plumes of black smoke rising from the affected areas.
These airstrikes occurred shortly after Israel issued warnings, advising residents to evacuate the targeted zones. The strikes are part of Israel's ongoing military campaign against Lebanon, which has intensified since late September as tensions with Hezbollah continue to escalate.
Earlier this month, the Israeli military initiated a ground operation in southern Lebanon, further heightening tensions. In addition to the recent airstrikes, the Israeli army has issued new evacuation orders for residents in two areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut, warning of impending strikes.
Israel has repeatedly targeted Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahieh, a densely populated neighbourhood, in recent weeks. Explosions were heard overnight, followed by large plumes of smoke as heavy airstrikes rocked the area.
