New Delhi, April 28: The Investiture Ceremony at the Rastrapati Bhawan began on Monday.
President Droupadi Murmu offered Padma Awards to prominent personalites, who have contributed a lot to different fields worth socio-cultural, educational and national values.
The Padma Awards – one of the highest civilian awards of the country, are conferred in three categories i.e Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
The awards are given in various disciplines and fields of activities, including art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, and civil service.
