Meet the Medalists

The team's success was driven by stellar individual performances. The gold medals were awarded to Kanishk Jain from Pune, Snehil Jha from Jabalpur, and Riddhesh Anant Bendale from Indore. Securing the silver medals were Aagam Jignesh Shah from Surat and Rajit Gupta from Kota. These students distinguished themselves in a competition that featured 415 of the world's top pre-university physics students.

Pattern of Academic Excellence

This victory is the latest in a series of remarkable achievements for India in international academic competitions this year. It follows a strong showing at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Dubai, where the team won two gold and two silver medals. Furthermore, at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Australia, Indian students achieved a record-breaking score, securing three golds, two silvers, and a bronze.

This consistent success across multiple disciplines underscores the quality of science and math education in the country. Guided by experienced educators from institutions like IIT Kharagpur, the Indian teams have established a legacy of excellence. For over a decade, every student representing India at the IPhO has returned with a medal, cementing the nation's reputation as a powerhouse in academic competitions.
