Puri, April 1: In a significant step towards enhancing citizen-centric policing and leveraging digital technology, IG,Central Range ,Dr Satyajit Naik,in presence of SP,Puri, Prateek Singh,launched a WhatsApp-based chatbot service titled “Puri Police Sahayak”.
This innovative platform has been introduced with the objective of making police services more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly for both residents and tourists visiting Puri. The chatbot will function 24x7, enabling users to access essential services instantly from their mobile devices.
Citizens can connect to the service by scanning a designated QR code or by sending a simple “Hi” message to the official WhatsApp number.
The chatbot offers a range of key services, including reporting of lost mobile phones, Providing feedback to the police, Locating the nearest police station, among other services requiring police aid.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve response time and streamline communication between the police and the public. It will also be particularly beneficial for tourists, offering them timely assistance, guidance, and access to important information during their stay in Puri.
Speaking on the occasion, IG,Dr Naik , emphasized that the initiative reflects Puri Police’s commitment to adopting technology-driven solutions to enhance public service delivery and ensure prompt assistance to citizens.
