The UDF's victory marked the end of a decade-long rule by the Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), with Congress almost securing a majority on its own. The BJP secured three seats, its best-ever performance in a Kerala assembly poll.

"We will work tirelessly to realize the vision of a developed Kerala," he said. He also assured that the Centre would stand by Keralam’s developmental goals, praising the UDF's success.

The Prime Minister also celebrated the BJP’s impressive showing in the West Bengal Assembly elections, calling it a triumph of the people’s power and the party's governance agenda. "The 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections will be remembered forever," Modi said, acknowledging the party workers’ relentless efforts over the years. "We will provide a government that ensures opportunity and dignity to all sections of society."

Addressing BJP workers at the party headquarters after the election results, PM Modi said the sweeping victories in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry represented trust in the politics of performance. "This historic day reflects years of hard work, and the happiness seen on the faces of BJP workers across the country is the same as that of the people," he remarked. "It marks the announcement of a bright future for the country, built on trust in India’s democracy and the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’."

The Prime Minister further acknowledged the efforts of BJP workers and credited the party's first assembly elections under President Nitin Nabin for the victory. "Today, I bow to the people of Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, and congratulate the millions of BJP workers whose dedication has made the lotus bloom," he said.

PM Modi also praised the encouraging results from various by-elections in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Nagaland, and Tripura, where BJP candidates emerged victorious, including Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar’s resounding win.
