WASHINGTON, June 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump are set to meet on June 17 on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France, according to reports citing US officials.

The meeting will mark the first face-to-face interaction between the two leaders since their last meeting in Washington in February 2025.

President Trump is scheduled to depart for France on Monday to attend the G7 Summit. During his visit, he is also expected to hold separate meetings with the leaders of Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and France.

Prime Minister Modi on Saturday embarked on a week-long tour of France and Slovakia. Besides participating in the G7 Summit, he is expected to engage with several world leaders to discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues.

The upcoming Modi-Trump meeting is being closely watched as both countries seek to strengthen cooperation across key areas, including trade, strategic partnerships, and global security.
