Kendrapara, June 16: Amid a political row over the arrest of a PRI member in Kendrapara, Tikhiri Sarpanch Chameli Ojha has been granted bail on Tuesday.

The SDJM, Kendrapara granted bail to Chameli Ojha.

According to sources, Chameli secured bail in the case related to the alleged attack on police personnel while she was being escorted to the hospital for medical examinations, following her arrest.

The court granted bail on a bond of Rs 30,000 with two sureties.

Worth mentioning, the Tikhiri Sarapanch has been lodged in jail for allegedly attacking a BDO and a number of police officials on duty.

Ojha will reportedly continue in judicial custody till her bail pleas in connection with the other case are granted.
