Commercial aviation returns to Tehran as regional stability holds.
International passenger services are set to return to Imam Khomeini International Airport this Saturday, marking the first major restoration of foreign travel since conflict erupted on February 28.
Ramin Kashef Azar, CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, stated that all navigation systems and ground infrastructure are now fully functional.
Historical data suggests that Iranian aviation often serves as a barometer for regional geopolitics; similar closures during the 1980s "War of the Cities" highlighted how vital air corridors are to Persian Gulf stability. Currently, the fragile truce brokered by Pakistan remains the primary driver behind this reopening.
