Bhubaneswar, June 10: IAS Officer Dhiman Chakma was suspended on Tuesday following his arrest by the Odisha Vigilance.
In pursuance of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s order, Dhiman was put under suspension.
In a major crackdown on corruption, the Odisha Vigilance Department on Monday had arrested IAS officer Dhiman Chakma on charges of accepting bribe and amassing disproportionate assets.
Chakma, a 2021-batch officer, was serving as the Sub-Collector of Dharmagarh in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.
Worth mentioning, Chakma was caught red-handed on Sunday while accepting a bribe of ₹10 lakh from a crusher unit owner in Jayapatna.
