Puri, May 24: Senior IAS officer Arabinda Kumar Padhee was appointed as the Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri, an official notification said on Friday.
Padhee assumes this role temporarily, filling in for Chief Administrator Veer Vikram Jadav, who is currently on vacation from May 22, 2024 till June 11, 2024 for his visit to Canada on personal grounds.
Upon assuming office at the SJTA, Padhee visited Jagannath temple and offered prayer to the Trinity. Then he engaged in discussions with SJTA officials regarding the smooth conduct of various rituals including Naba Joubana Darshan, Netra Utsav, and Rath Yatra. Later, Padhi visited the ‘Ratha Khala’ to oversee the construction of chariots.
Worth mentioning, the 1996 batch IAS Officer is presently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Agriculture & FE department with an additional charge of Principal Secretary at HT &H Department of Odisha Government.
