Higher Education Department's Instagram account briefly hacked, FIR to be filed

Bhubaneswar, July 28: The official Instagram account of the Higher Education Department was reportedly hacked for a brief period on Monday morning, prompting swift action from the authorities.
Sources revealed that a number of unrelated posts, unconnected to the department's official activities were uploaded during the breach. The incident came to light shortly thereafter, following which the department acted promptly to regain control of the account.
Officials confirmed that the unauthorized content has since been removed, and normal operations have resumed on the account.
Treating the breach as a serious matter, the Higher Education Department has decided to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) to initiate a formal investigation into the incident.
