Mumbai, Aug 2: “Half a hug to you all”, said Shah Rukh on Saturday after he won the Best Actor Award for his movie ‘Jawan’.
Taking to X, the ace actor attributed his achievement to the Jury, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Union Government as well for adjudging him as one of the Best Actors in the feature film division.
On his X handle,SRK wrote,”Thank you for honouring me with the National Award. Thanks to the jury, the I&B ministry… Iss samman ke liye Bharat Sarkar ka dhanyawaad. Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today….”
Tagging a video message with it, the Superstar expressed his gratitude to the ‘Jawan’ team that earned his the abundant success in the recent National Film Award.
Hours later, SRK appeared in a video message on the Instagram expressing his gratitude to fans. However, viewers noticed something unusual, the superstar’s arm was in a cast during the video due to muscular injuries.
Thanking team, fans and family despite the acute injury thanked his 'Jawan' director Atlee, his fans, team, and family. Dressed in a black polo, black trousers, and a grey beanie, he appeared with his right arm in a cast. He humorously addressed his injury in the caption, saying, "Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today."
Worth mentioning, a few weeks ago, Khan had sustained an injury while filming for his upcoming movie 'King'. According to a report, the incident happened during the shooting of an intense scene directed by Siddharth Anand at a Mumbai studio. Khan travelled to the US for medical interventions wherein he was advised complete rest on his right arm for at least a month.
Despite painful injury in the hand, SRK was seen cheerful in the video message and lightheartedly addressed his condition, saying, "I would love to spread my arms and share my love, but I am a bit indisposed. But don't worry! Just keep the popcorn ready. I will be back in theatres and soon on the screen."
SRK, amid a joyful gesture tried to open up his arms-wide, however this time extending just one hand for the prescribed cast and said,‘half hug to everyone’.
