Bhawanipatna, May 18: A Special Court of Vigilance in Bhawanipatna in Odisha’s Kalahandi district convicted a former Head Master of Malgaon UP School for possession of disproportionate assets (DA).
The accused identified as Prakash Chandra Pattnaik was earlier charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Koraput in DA case.
Following the offence, the Court has sentenced him to undergo a Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for a period of two years and fine of Rs 50,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further RI for a period of three months.
Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Pattnaik following his conviction.
