Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: The Food Safety Department has intensified inspections of food stalls near Durga Puja pandals to ensure food qualityand hygiene during the festive season.

A special team is conducting raids on stalls, including those near the Rasulgarh Puja Mandap, to check food quality and cleanliness. Officials are keeping a close watch on stalls preparing food in unhygienic conditions or violating food safety rules.

During inspections, stale food found at any stall may lead to action against the concerned vendors.

The drive aims to ensure that visitors get safe and hygienic food during the festive season, with public health remaining the department's top priority.
