Sambalpur, April 6: In a major boost towards curbing crimes and ensuring good policing in Sambalpur, a fleet of as many as 15 smart interceptor vehicles were commissioned in Samabalpur Police on Sunday, for serving the denizens.

The Hi-tech PCR vehicles were flagged off during a grand ceremony held near Samaleswari Temple today.

Each of the newly inducted PCR vehicles is fitted with cutting-edge security equipment. These include GPS tracking systems for real-time location monitoring, VHF communication systems for seamless coordination, and 360-degree PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras to aid in surveillance and evidence collection with emergency tele- receivers. 

Sambalpur SP, Mukesh Bhamu assured better and swift service to the people with the help of the sophisticated logistics, while interacting with the pressers.
